1Arcade – implant holes & clean-up

The implant holes are found automatically and sealed (magenta): the inside of every hole and the ring around its opening can never be changed – not by the freeform, not by any later step. Check that every hole has a number.

Clean-up (optional)

Small corrections before you start: smooth defects, steps or spikes from the design software. The edits stay until the export, as if the arcade had been imported this way.

2Base – margin line

Click on the arcade to place points. Close the line by clicking the first point or pressing Enter. Drag a point to move it; double-click deletes it; click next to the closed line to add a point.

3Implant tubes & insertion axis

Tubes are placed automatically in every hole of the base and fused with it in titanium. Select a tube to edit it; drag the pink ball on top to change its height.

Insertion axis

The direction in which the superstructure goes on and off. Automatic = the smallest angle to all tubes; it follows the tubes while you edit them. You can also drag the tip of the orange arrow.

4Bar path

Click on the base to place points, from one end of the base to the other. Double-click or Enter finishes the path. Drag a point to move it; click on the line to insert one; Ctrl + click or Delete removes it.

Line smoothness0.50

Orange: the path lies on the base. Light: no base under it (implant hole, tube step, off the edge) – the bar bridges straight across.

Height

The top of the bar is cut by a plane through the front of the arch and the two ends of the path. Heights are measured from the base.

Drag the amber handles on top of the bar up or down. Hover a handle and use ↑ / ↓ for 0.1 mm steps; Ctrl + click resets it to the plane.

6Split & export

Superstructure = the arcade (with its freeform) minus the tibar enlarged by the cement gap. Red on the tibar = an undercut against the insertion axis (the superstructure would not go on).
